JARJUM | October 3rd
Spirit. Love. Resilience.
JARJUM is a powerful multi-media production combining a short dance film with a live contemporary dance performance, celebrating the voices, strength and creativity of First Nations youth. Created by First Nations choreographer Mitch Currie, JARJUM brings together young people from metropolitan and regional communities to share their stories through movement and film. Co-choreographed with Mitch's protégée, teenage Torres Strait Islander artist Ayla, the work champions self-determination, cultural pride and the next generation of First Nations leadership. Honest, uplifting and deeply authentic, JARJUM is a celebration of identity, community and hope.
