Programs

Backbone has many young artist programs that act as stepping stones into the theatre industry. Your donations help facilitate their masterclasses, training programs, and bootcamps.

Tech Bootcamp

This year, arts funding meant Backbone could host a Tech Bootcamp! Students engaged in mentorship, masterclasses, paid traineeship, and hands-on experience working a theatre festival. Your support gets us closer to delivering this program again!

Backbone opens up their doors to many resident artists throughout the year. These residencies act as an elevated platform for artists to expand their practice. Financial support boosts Backbone’s capacity for artists and increases the quality of resident’s experience.

Our Backbone Festival is where our many programs and residencies converge in a 3 week showcase of Brisbane’s most bold and experimental work! Donations will help with tech, FOH, gear hire, advertising, documentation, and site design.
