Is your school looking for an After-Hours Drama program?

Backbone Young Creators Workshops are offered as on-campus after school hours Drama classes with an energetic, curious and supportive environment for young people.

Designed to nurture and develop their imagination, literacy skills, critical thinking, speaking confidence and collaboration through the art form of Theatre, these classes can run on your school grounds, be exclusive to your students, and run in collaboration with school staff.

All Young Creator Workshops from Years 1-12 are designed by experienced educators, facilitated by professional teaching artists and are aligned with the Australian Curriculum.

MEET YOUR FACILITATORS

Evie Ford is a Meeanjin (Brisbane) based actor, dancer, and voice over artist. Evie was recently on the creative development team of the show, Dax Savage: The Last Man on Earth, produced by Fake Blood, as part of the Backbone Festival and played the role of Plague. She also played multiple voice over Roles in Aprils Fool and Gaybies, produced by Playlab Theatre. For the past couple of years Evie worked for the children’s theatre company, Cheeky Monkey Club and now works at Blueys World Brisbane as a performer and at Backbone Youth Arts as a drama facilitator. Evie also loves dancing; she has an extensive background in ballet and recently produced her own burlesque show. Evie loves performing and hopes to empower many young people to find safety and confidence in the arts!
