Fresh off the back of Vena Cava Productions’ annual Freshblood Festival, one show was selected out of nine mainstage productions to receive the BACKBONE AWARD. The awarded show was selected by the Vena Cava and Backbone Teams.
Freshblood Festival is an annual theatre and art festival for emerging writers, directors, performers, artists and musicians. Every year, Freshblood is made up of entirely new works that span many genres, styles and themes.
This year's theme is RISK IT!! We have invited writers and directors to put on their most outlandish scripts, as well as facilitating our own Headliner for the Festival, EVOLUTION. This year's festival promises to be a hub of creativity for experimental works.
