Instructions Enclosed: A Life in Memoriam
One human, so many loose ends.
By Backbone Ensemble 2025
Instructions Enclosed: A Life in Memoriam is an interactive installation exploring the legacy we leave behind once we’re no longer there to shape how we’re remembered. Pick through Kal’s past and tug on the loose threads they left behind; were they a scheming mastermind or a hedonistic pleasure-seeker? If legacy is an act of vanity, what happens when only the vain are left to decide its shape? In the end - does any of it really matter?
Come armed with your phone and headphones and tumble down this QR rabbit hole into the past life of a person past.
A new work devised by the 2025 Backbone Ensemble, Instructions Enclosed: A Life in Memoriam is the product of the 18- to 30-year-old artists that gather at the Seven Hills Hub every Tuesday to learn, collaborate and create.
