Waitlisted

Enthralling acrobatics, mesmerising visuals, and the voices of youth being perpetually waitlisted.

Circus by Collective Circus

3 November - 5 November

Presented in partnership with Fringe Brisbane.

COLLECTIVE CIRCUS presents 'Waitlisted,' an innovative and inspiring show that combines mesmerising visuals and thought-provoking circus. Created by a group of young performers eager to make their debut and leave their mark on the circus world. Collective Circus will provoke audiences' minds by shedding light on the often ignored and overlooked aspects that come with being young. To bring to life the message behind Waitlisted we have used the real and honest experiences of youth across Australia, including, the creative minds of Circa Zoo, the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, and Flipside Circus.

Waitlisted is a circus show made for youth, by youth. Collectively we made an observation early on that our opinions, on many issues, are often pushed aside and undervalued. We live with a perpetual feeling of being waitlisted.

This show delves into mental health issues. We recognise that this content may be confronting to watch at times therefore we encourage viewers to take care of their own safety and well-being.

This project received support from Flying Fruit Fly Circus through Under Construction.
