Bar and Venue Coordinator - Sam Schlencker

Sam Schlencker is a drummer, producer, songwriter and very proud father. Sam has performed and toured since the late 80’s playing a range of genres from ambient noise & ska to jazz. His former band, Skinny Jean received nation-wide critical acclaim for their first album, Dolce Doggerel seeing Sam tour Australia performing his original music. He has been a feature behind many Brisbane music venues including The Troubadour, The HiFi, Black Bear Lodge and Cupo. Joining Backbone’s team culminates his love for music and the arts and his passion for making sure that children and young people can play and access music from a young age also.
