Backbone’s Performance Ensemble is a theatre making and training program designed for ages 16 and over. Led by industry professionals, the program explores the ways in which performers use space, time, body, language, energy and image to communicate with audiences in ways that sometimes defy logic.
And we are seeking new members!
After creating and performing the highly-acclaimed Their Name Liveth For Evermore at Toowong Cemetery, as part of Brisbane City Council’s Anzac Day 2017 Commemorations, the Performance Ensemble are currently creating a new work to be presented at the East Brisbane Bowls Club in October 2017.
We are seeking makers and performers who wish to extend their artistic practice by deepening and expanding their knowledge of diverse theatrical forms and traditions. We want artists who seek to use echoes of our past to disrupt our comfort with ourselves, our culture and our craft, here and now.
To express your interest, please complete the form below and we will be in touch.
